Keraben sells its Construplas branch to two French private equity firms

Construplas, the brand for bathroom equipment of the Keraben Group, with a 2016 turnover exceeding 16 million euros, has been sold to MBO Partenaires and Aquasourca

The Keraben corporate group, controlled by the American investment firm Tensile Capital Management and run by the Benavent family, sold the whole of its ownership of Construplas to the French private equity firms MBO Partenaires and Aquasourca, and the members of the Management team of the company. Construplas, marketed under the Acquabella brand for bathroom equipment, will exceed 16 millions of euros in turnover when closing the accounts of 2016, confirming a vast growth figure of 23% increase compared to the previous financial year, and coming almost to triple the invoicing volume of the year 2009.The French firms MBO Partenaires and Aquasourca have confirmed to continue with the present Management team, presided by Mr. Juan José Benavent as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Construplas, with the clear ambition to reinforce and endure the policy of international expansion, which it had started developing over the last few years.

By buying into this this financial operation, the Keraben Group anticipates to reinforce its company structure, and at the same time, its core activities in the ceramic tile sector, to target a new level of business growth and international expansion. The corporate group of companies holds three ceramic tile brands and more than 4,000 product references that confirm the status of Keraben Group as a leading company in Europe. At present, the annual production capacity exceeds 12,000,000 square metres of tiles and the brand is introduced in more than 120 countries. The Group expects to close the 2016 financial year with a turnover of about 118 million of euros and foresees an increase of sales of more than 12% for 2017.
