The facility management sector points out to sustainability and digitization as the main challenges for the future

The arrival of sustainability in the residential field, the inclusion of the green criterion in the strategic plans of large companies, or the emergence of digital management platforms, are only a few of the main conclusions that can bed discovered in the report "Challenges, Trends and Opportunities" in the management of properties and services, carried out by TechEstate, the new Barcelona Building Construmat platform to promote innovation, and the Innomads real estate hub. TechEstate is the new slogan of Barcelona Building Construmat, the Fira de Barcelona based event for building materials, whose main target is to capitalize on innovation throughout the sector's value chain, and is one of the main claims to visit the event.
The next upcoming edition has been scheduled for November 29th to December 2nd at the Gran Via venue, together with the Pool & Wellness Barcelona exhibition.
The report was presented at an online session by Cristian Merino, Director of Innovation Barcelona Building Construmat and TechEstate, and Mireia Garcia, CEO of Innomads, collecting the contributions of a dozen of experts and leaders of the sector who pointed out sustainability and digitization as the two main challenges that the industry will have to face in the coming years.
