The Milan based Salone event closes its 2018 edition with extremely positive results
An important 26% increase in attendees compared with the 2017 edition
The Salone del Mobile in Milano is recognized as one of the most important and successful international design events on the planet. The 57th edition of the Salone presents extremely positive figures compared to previous editions and other events worldwide. A total of 434.509 attendees in 6 days from 188 different countries, made for a 17% increase compared to the 2016 edition, which last featured the biennial kitchen and bathroom exhibitions, and an increase of 26% compared with the year 2017.
This 2018 edition has brought an extraordinary record breaking year, showing, yet again, that the Salone del Mobile is not just another exhibition on the calendar but, especially, that it is a demonstration of how business culture and team work within a sector, along with its creative and productive fabric, can be drivers of excellence. Quality and innovation are the pillars of this most attractive event which is an absolute must-visit on the international calendar. Moreover, an extensive program of important parallel events offers an extremely complete and varied agenda of activities and product offer.
A total of 1.841 exhibitors, from different countries, showcased their products at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, EuroCucina including the FTK Show (Technology for the Kitchen) and the International Bathroom Exhibition, in addition another 650 young or experienced designers featured their creations at the parallel SaloneSatellite Show. The bathroom space as know it, is being transformed and pretends to recreate “the shape of water” with a large display of new design proposals, that are very conscious with the environment and provide more sustainable solutions, by applying the most advanced technologies for components and engineering aimed at improved ergonomics. We are showing you a brief preview of the most innovative product proposals that we found at the firms of the bathroom equipment sector that were exhibiting at the Salone.
