The iF design award night has become one of the most significant international design events in recent years. More than 2000 guests from design, business, culture and media coming from 36 different countries came together at BMW Welt in Munich to honour the winners of the iF Design Awards, edition 2018.
The Red Dot Award: Product Design supports emerging talents with the Young Professionals Application Day: On 6 December 2017, designers who have graduated within the past five years have the chance to apply for one of 50 free registration places. If they win an award, the young professionals benefit from extensive and free measures, all of which communicate their success in an internationally visible way.
Among the 500 participants of the 6th edition of the Express Design Contest One Day Design Challenge by Spanish giant Roca, that was held simultaneously at the Roca Galleries in the Spanish cities of Barcelona and Madrid, Steam Box, a concept presented by Robert Navarro Torres and Enrique Moral Santoyo, obtained the first prize.
The early bird registration term finalizes soon and cost-conscious companies and designers can enter their product designs or projects until on forthcoming June 29th and enjoy from the early bird registration benefits. Agencies, architects, designers and companies from all over the world are invited to compete for the world-renowned design distinction.
The iF Design Awards, one of the best-known labels for design excellence, showcases since 1954 the best designs appealing to innovation, production quality and environmental awareness. Focussed on the industry, the 2017 edition counts with more than 5.500 entries sent in from 59 different countries.
Under the motto “in search of good design and innovation” the experts on the roughly 40-member jury will award the Red Dot seal only to products that are convincing in terms of their good design quality.
