Architecture is the intuition of organizing your home, the light, air, and space in harmony with yourself. This is the goal Witteveen Architects pursues in their projects; in this case, realized through the renovation of Canal House, a beautiful house steeped in history in Amsterdam.

This is one of the latest renovation projects by Houtwerk BV, a member of the Hi-Macs® Quality Club, based on a design by Witteveen Architects. Upon entering this home, which opens onto the waters of the Dutch canal in Amsterdam, what most catches our attention is the spaciousness, the sense of freedom, and the luminosity provided by the white acrylic stone walls and large windows.

The presence of Hi Macs® can be appreciated throughout the house, adding a modern touch to the space, where some brick walls from the industrial era have been preserved. This successful combination of old and new gives the home an exclusive and original touch, a very interesting blend of styles.

The master bedroom was built as an extension to the existing loft, which has also been renovated to match the aesthetic and materials of the entire building. Hi-Macs® material has been used for the cladding of the loft area in the bedroom, the entire balustrade, and the doors with integrated handles. The soft, smooth feel of the acrylic stone perfectly complements the clean lines of the room.

The matching bathroom, at the back of the room, is literally "made" of Hi-Macs®, including the floor and walls, the shower, and the custom-made sink with its custom vanities.

Finally, the spectacular integrated bathtub, where the walls blend seamlessly with its structure, is the crown jewel. Once again, Hi-Macs® was chosen for its seamless connection and excellent hygienic properties. Thanks to its non-porous surface, the material does not absorb moisture and is waterproof. To create this splendid and luxurious bathroom, the floor was reinforced to support the weight of this custom-made bathtub.
