Dekton® by Cosentino obtains the "Environmental Product Declaration"

Grupo Cosentino, the Spanish global leader in the production and distribution of innovative surfaces, has obtained the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD^®) for its ultra-compact Dekton^® surface. The certification is the consequence of the life cycle analysis of the environmental impact of the product.  The granting of this declaration by an external organisation body, such as, The International EDP^® System, accredits Cosentino Group’s policy of maximum commitment to sustainability, and supports its involvement in improving efficiency in the consumption of raw materials and energy, as the reduction in generation of waste.

The Environmental Product Declaration is a highly useful tool that guarantees transparency in terms of sustainability, for a product or service during its entire life-cycle. Moreover, it does not only demonstrate the reduction of the negative impact on the environment, but it also provides the necessary information to compare products and services already on the market and that serve the same purpose. Furthermore, this certification contributes to obtain credits in the LEED rating system for sustainable building, making Dekton^® an extremely attractive product for property development based on criteria for sustainability and high efficiency.
