Schlüter-Systems opens a pioneer building meeting the strict Passive House Building certification

March 30^th 2017 saw the official grand opening of the new headquarters of Schlüter-Systems located in the Spanish town of Onda, at the coastal province of Castellón. The stunning Schlüter-OrangeBox, a new annex building to the existing distribution centre and offices, provides a first-class environment for showroom areas, dedicated technical support and for practical hands-on training of contractors, resellers and specifiers. Schlüter confirms its continued commitment to increasing skills and development within the industry and raising standards for the profession. Besides being a showcase and testament, one of the most impressive features is the strict Passive House Standard certification, obtained for the new building. This was made possible by the installation of different Schlüter-Systems for air conditioning with waterproofing and thermal insulation, representing an excellent example of how Schlüter products commit to environmental protection. This certification ensures a nearly zero energy consumption for heating and cooling the building.

Mr Jorge Viebig, the Managing Director for Spain, hosted the event, which was attended by authorities and numerous customers and partners, as well as a large international and national representation of the manufacturer. Mr Ximo Huguet, as founding partner and Passive House representatives, emphasized that the new construction has opted for sustainability, this building being the first rehabilitation of the Valencian Community in obtaining the certificate of Passive House Certification for sustainable construction. The new infrastructure consists of a building of 400 m², divided into two main areas, training and showroom.
