Nika Zupanc, a popular Slovenian designer, has enjoyed great international recognition thanks to her own designs and the creations she has developed in collaboration with prestigious companies or firms such as Bosa, Francfranc, Dior, Moroso, Moooi, Rossana Orlandi, Sém, Qeeboo, Nodus, etc.
The Lolita Lamp, the Miss Dior chair, the Black Cherry Lamp, the installations A Room of One's Own for the Esprit Dior: Miss Dior exhibition, and The Doll's House... are just a few examples of the creations that have brought her to the top in the international design world. She has won numerous awards and is a leading name in the industry's most important events, such as Milan Design Week and 100% Design in London.
She is characterized by a feminist aesthetic. Her feminine and seductive, stylized and elegant forms create a distance from predominantly masculine design; even the color black, more closely associated with masculine styles, is feminized. Her creations feature pink, light blue, and gold, along with pastel tones, and her desire to explore new technologies, shapes, and materials, combining different stylistic references and developing a discourse that many have described as elegant punk or techno chic.
