Despite a complex international environment, Bathroom Equipment exports managed to close out 2024 with positive growth compared to the previous year. The Annual Foreign Trade Barometer reflects the sector's strength and its ability to consolidate its international presence even in uncertain times.
In an international context marked by geopolitical uncertainty, armed conflicts, and a weakening European economy, the Spanish bathroom equipment sector has demonstrated remarkable resilience.
According to the 2024 Annual Barometer of Foreign Trade, prepared by ASSEBAN, exports grew by 4,67% in value, reaching 910.675,71 thousand euros, and by 4,41% in volume (tonnes).
Meanwhile, the sector's imports increased by 10,22% in value, reaching €1.081.235,44 thousand over the same period under analysis.
The main destinations for our exports in 2024 were:
France: €262.313 thousand (+1,37%)
Portugal: €142.622 thousand (+0,61%)
Italy: €94.369 thousand (+12,69%)
United Kingdom: €52.585 thousand (-16,26%)
Morocco: €30.517 (-5,18%)
These five markets accounted for 63,94% of the sector's total exports.
