The novel showroom - docontractMAD, located in the exclusive Salamanca district of Madrid, leaves no one indifferent. The project, designed by Mar Vera, interior designer at the Welcome Design studio, has more than six rooms that converge with each other. However, each space has been treated as an individual project, which highlights different facets of each.
One of the spaces that most surprised visitors was the luxurious bathroom found near the end of this stately 20th-century apartment. In this bathroom, Mar Vera explains that they wanted to create a luxurious bungalow atmosphere with tropical elements, where the geometric shapes that characterize every room in the showroom once again reappear. The color scheme used ranges from neutral tones such as gray, nude, and black to warmer, pinkish hues that create a splendid contrast that allows the bathroom elements to stand out even more.
As a continuation of the resin floor with black river stones, a black framed divider was designed with large glass panes and shapes with black profiles that highlight the iconic Finion bathtub by Villeroy & Boch which gives a grand welcome to the space. This freestanding, illuminated bathtub and its entire collection of integrated elements, such as the sinks and toilets, provide a sense of relaxation and meditation. This project combines matte and glossy colors, black and gold, utilizing this trend to blend without losing the same elegant tone, where space and quality are true luxury.
