Salgar opens a showroom in the center of Zaragoza

The Aragonese company salt, a leader in bathroom furniture for over 75 years, has opened its New showroom within the Saneamientos Marín facilities on San Miguel Street in Zaragoza, the result of their close and long-standing collaboration. This exhibition space gives Salgar the opportunity to permanently offer an updated catalog of its products in the center of the Aragonese capital and facilitate access to the latest developments in the sector for all its customers.

Among other officials attending the event were the Mayor of Zaragoza, Natalia Chueca, who was accompanied by Milagros Salinas, the owner of Salgar; her husband, Pedro Agustín; and two of her children, Manuel and Lucía; as well as Manuel Teruel, the company's advisor.

With over 75 years of history, Salgar is a family-run company that designs and produces 100% of its bathroom furniture at its Zaragoza plant, where it employs 300 people. It sells equipment to over 60 countries worldwide. A pioneer in the industrialized manufacturing of wooden furniture, its turnover exceeds €50 million, with an export share of 58%.

Its facilities on the Logroño highway, which cover over 60.000 square meters, are equipped with the latest technology and have a production capacity of 290.000 units per year, positioning it as one of the leading manufacturers in Europe. Thanks to its R&D department for new materials, models, and features, investments in new technology, and digitalization, Salgar is able to carry out projects and offer cutting-edge solutions worthy of a leader in innovation in the bathroom fixtures segment.

Founded by Manuel Salinas Lázaro in the middle of the last century, it was acquired by an investment fund in 2007, but ten years later, it returned to the Salinas family, who acquired 100% ownership. The transaction was a personal commitment by Milagros Salinas Villalba, the founder's daughter, who wanted to continue her father's dream by involving the third generation, who are now part of the company's management.

Bet for sustainability

Salgar is a company firmly committed to respecting the environment. This is evident in some of the decisions it has made in recent years that confirm its commitment to sustainability, making it a benchmark in its sector for implementing measures that contribute to decarbonization and the fight against climate change.

Thus, an investment has been made in a photovoltaic installation with 1.530 panels, operational since last November, which allows the company to harness solar energy to meet its energy consumption by 40%. All facilities, including the factory, warehouse, and offices, are equipped with LED lighting.

Similarly, plastic has been eliminated from furniture packaging, replacing more than one million EPS corner protectors with honeycomb cardboard. Chemical solvents have been eliminated for all matte colors thanks to Salgar's proprietary technology, which allows them to be replaced with water. This process will soon also be applied to gloss and matte lacquer products.

Furthermore, its commitment to reforestation has led it to plant more than 1.000 trees in Soto del Real (Madrid) and Lobera de Onsella (Huesca) between 2022 and 2024, in addition to collaborating with Zaragoza City Council on various municipal initiatives in this area of corporate social responsibility.
