Jòdul opens its new showroom in Barcelona

800 m² that turn the choice of materials into an act of design.

The Catalan firm Jòdul It is moving from its previous showroom on Numancia Street to a new space, twice as big, on the street Muntaner 408 Barcelona, the brand's most ambitious to date: 800 m2 an exhibition of materials, products and design solutions presented in real spaces, distributed over two floors and built on a neutral and elegant base interior design by the interior designer Martí Nualart (Nualart Studio).

The resulting space conveys visual order and responds to the objective of reflecting Jòdul's own evolution three decades after its birth, highlighting as place hybrid of product showcase and networking platform for professionals who seek technical advice, training, innovation and knowledge exchange at cultural events - such as its well-known series of meetings Desktop– and activations generated from Jòdul.

To fully understand the new space, it's essential to know the history and evolution of the company, which has progressed from distribution to specification, design, and the culture of spaces. The company, 100% family-owned, was founded in 1992 in Taradell (inland Catalonia, an hour from Barcelona) by Josep Cabanas and Dolors Barfull. In fact, the name 'Jòdul' is a contraction of their first names: JoSep and Dolors, /widowors/ in Catalan.

Back in 2016, Jòdul first set foot in Barcelona with his first Jòdul Lab, a space of 200m2 on Numancia Street, which became one of the city's first materials laboratories.

More than thirty years later, it can be said that the secret of their success lies in the quality of their service, personalization, and the technical advice to the best architecture studios in the countryas well as in a curated selection of International cult brands, including, for example, Mutina, Sira, Dica, Marazzi, Duravit, Inalco, Cotto d'Este or Dornbracht.

In Jòdul you can find mainly wall and floor coverings - especially ceramics, parquet and wood - materials and products for the interior design of bathrooms, water areas and kitchens, for projects mainly residential and hotel, without ruling out other areas.

Today, Jòdul is a leading company in the premium materials niche. Its role as the first quality filter for top architects and interior designers is firmly established.

In the words of Aman Cabanas, Commercial and Marketing Manager of Jòdul and second generation of the family business: "This initiative reinforces our desire to transcend the purely commercial sphere, positioning ourselves as an active agent in the dissemination of design culture and in the creation of a professional community around architecture and materials."
