The employers' association for the professional distribution of materials for construction and rehabilitation, Andimac, has promoted together with ASCER (Spanish Association of Ceramic Tile and Paving Manufacturers) the creation of ESVEC The first ceramic sales school 100% specialized in this sector. The initiative is supported by the Valencian Government's Ministry of Finance and Economic Model through a collaboration agreement with ASCER.
ESVEC is born as well as the First School of Ceramic Sellers endorsed by the industry itself, in response to the need to cover the training area in this sector. The objective is to ensure the future of the sector by offering specific and up-to-date training to distribution professionals on the latest technical innovations and trends in ceramic design. To this end, ESVEC will focus on specialization, with up-to-date market and workplace information, and a human-to-human model where theoretical, practical, and emotional knowledge are key. Training through ESVEC will be online, in small groups, and will consist of different learning levels, workshops, and training sessions, all with a highly practical focus so that students can apply their knowledge from day one.
The various courses are aimed at both professionals in the construction and renovation materials trade and distribution sector who want to continue growing and achieve higher-value-added sales, as well as students who want to enter the workforce. The training will cover commercial aspects and sales techniques, as well as technical product knowledge, trends, interior design, and more.
According to Secretary General of Andimac, "We live in uncertain and unpredictable times, in which training is essential to adapt—and even stay ahead of—an ever-changing reality, as well as to boost the productivity of our companies and, consequently, the competitiveness of our sector. The ceramics sector is also constantly evolving, and in this sense, the sales force must stay up-to-date, which they will undoubtedly achieve thanks to our Expert Voice diploma.".
“The Spanish ceramics industry is a leader in technology and construction solutions. For us, it's vital to provide sales staff with up-to-date knowledge of the technical characteristics of tiles, basic information on selection based on use, and other aspects related to design projects and trends. ESVEC seeks to improve professionals' ability to recommend products at the point of sale and provide arguments to facilitate product sales.”, says Alberto Echavarría, Secretary General of ASCER.
