In a proposal that engages with nature and architectural language, with a wealth of accessories and blended into the Mediterranean environment, the Calma and Tempo bathtubs fit into the reformulated world of the bathroom, where the important thing is to have and control your own time.
Calma and Tempo were born together. Conceived under the same creative process, that of designer Jorge Herrera , and sharing the same Mediterranean aura, these two designer bathtubs that make up the new Sanycces collection nevertheless look towards different destinations. Functionality guides Tempo , with a geometry that references icons of traditional bathroom design, but renewing the formal language to create a striking volume that introduces a rope as a novel element in the bathtub.
Meanwhile, the concept of purity with a Zen-like quality prevails in the case of Calma , with its idiosyncratic concave and fully enveloping shape, different leg options, and an exclusive tray that updates a classic way of using a bathtub. “The challenge was to naturalize the product without abandoning its Mediterranean character, introducing materials such as fabric and wood. We delved into classic Japanese bathrooms, tea ceremonies, car interiors, looking for gentle, pleasant forms… ,” the designer points out.
