A sustainable material, with high resistance and a warm aesthetic
Bathco is taking a bold step toward sustainability, merging design and environmental responsibility into its products. A clear example is the new collection made of bamboo. Thanks to its low environmental impact, high resistance, and warm aesthetic, it is a material that has established itself as an ecological alternative to more conventional materials. Its use allows for the design of long-lasting products without sacrificing visual lightness and a connection with nature.
The most outstanding piece of this new collection is the Kalasin pedestal sink which was recently presented at Casa Decor 2025. The designer of this piece for Bathco, Lucio Traficante, was inspired by nature for its creation: “Its cylindrical design emulates a tree trunk, growing outward in concentric rings that mimic its radial growth. The surface, crisscrossed with delicate longitudinal grooves, reproduces the upward pattern of a tree's natural growth, creating a structure that improves resistance to mechanical stress and prevents breakage.”
In addition to this spectacular piece, the collection includes other products that combine bamboo with materials such as metal, solid surface, and stone, adding a touch of sophistication to the product. An example is the Treviso collection, combining the warmth of bamboo with the sophistication of a metallic coating, offering countertop and pedestal sinks that add character to any bathroom space.
